On August 4, the Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality issued the "Three-Year Action Plan (2023-2025) for Accelerating the Development of a 'World-Class Next-Generation Automobile City'". Under the plan, Shenzhen aims to achieve an annual production of over 2 million new energy vehicles and an industrial output value of trillions in the automotive industry by 2025.

Thinktech closes new round of financing
Recently, Chinese fabless design company Shanghai Thinktech® Information Technology Co., Ltd. announced the completion of a new round of financing, led by Chongqing Yufu Holding Group, following its strategic round. The company stated that it is embarking on full-scale mass production of high-performance vehicle-grade MCU products, filling the gap in domestically produced high-performance vehicle-grade control chips.
Farizon Auto ships first batch of H9E light-duty trucks to the Middle East
On August 2, Geely’s Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group announced that its light-duty truck model, H9E, was officially shipped to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, after completing the loading process in Shanghai. On August 2, the Management Committee of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area ("TEDA") signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on a new energy intelligent manufacturing investment project with Vitesco Automotive Tianjin Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Vitesco Technologies"), according to a post on the WeChat account of TEDA.
In this cooperation, Vitesco Technologies will continue to invest 1.2 billion yuan in fixed assets, focusing on the development of new energy vehicle R&D platforms and the production of core components. This investment will drive the company's electrical business layout in the city and contribute to the high-quality development of the NEV industry in the TEDA, Binhai New Area, and even Tianjin as a whole.
Geely sets up new auto engineering technology development company
On August 3, Zhejiang Geely Automotive Engineering Technology Development Co., Ltd. was officially founded with a registered capital of 30 million yuan, according to the corporate information platform Tianyancha.
The newborn company has a business scope that extends to cover engineering and technology research and experimental development, R&D of automotive components, import and export of goods, technology import and export, and industrial design services. The shareholder information shows that it is wholly owned by Geely Automotive Research Institute (Ningbo) Co., Ltd.
