Shanghai, August 6 (Gasgoo.com) Buick Enclave SUV, unveiled at the 2008 Beijing auto show in April, has been approved for import to China. The luxury model will be equipped with Buick Park Avenue‘s 3.6-liter V-6 engine and a 6-speed manual/automatic transmission, according to cheshi.com.

Having passed the marathon road test and gained import approval from the industry regulator in China, Buick Enclave SUV will be introduced into China’s emerging SUV market next year, said sources from Shanghai General Motors (GM). GM plans to deliver 5,000 Buick Enclave SUVs to China annually, selling through Shanghai GM’s Buick 4S stores.

The signature Buick cue is presented with a waterfall grille which has a subdued, black chrome appearance and is embedded with the "Buick" label in the middle.

Under the skin, the Enclave feels genuinely luxurious. The model is available for seven seats, emphasizing on roomy space and easy access to the second and third seating rows. Luxurious details include widely-used wood and feather materials, DVD entertainment system, zonal air-conditioner and so on.

Buick Enclave’s introduction, adding to Shanghai GM’s Buick product lineup, may well boost its competitiveness over models of its segment.
