Chery Automobile further expands CHERYLIONs’ circle of friends

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 20, Chery Automobile forged partnerships with a number of enterprises for its “CHERYLION” ecosystem, an intelligence business brand launched at the Auto China 2018.

The automaker classified its new partners into four categories—the Pioneer includes ADAYO, iFlytek, Desay SV Automotive and Neusoft, etc.; the Protector incorporates the Institute of Computing Technology Chinese Academy of Sciences and the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology; the Companion covers a series of service and content platforms such as Meituan, Kuwo Music, Tingban, Ximalaya, iqiyi, iyiou and MOJI.

At the signing ceremony, Chery launched the logo of the “CHERYLION”, signifying the intelligence brand's integration of five major businesses, namely, autonomous driving (Drive@Lion), Internet of Vehicles (i-Connect @Lion), manufacturing (i-Make@Lion), data operation (i-Digital@Lion) as well as mobility service (i-Mobility@Lion).

Chery Holding has had six industrial sectors, which are automobile, auto parts, ship, finance, trade and tourism & real estate. Now, the intelligent vehicle has become the group's seventh business arm, said Yin Tongyue, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Chery Automobile.

The automaker said CHERYLION will start its global deployment with Wuhu Lion Automobile Technology Co.,Ltd as the base, aiming to develop a professional team with over 1,000 talents over the next three years and expanding business into the U.S., Germany, India and China’s Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Wuhu and Xiong' an New Area. Up until now, CHERYLION’s talent groups in Shanghai and Wuhu have already been operational.

Besides, the R&D fruits of CHERYLION will be applied in models under such brands as Chery Jaguar Land Rover, Qoros, Cowin Auto. Chery's premium car brand EXEED will enjoy the priority to get its vehicles installed the CHERYLION system. It is reported that the CHERYLION 3.0 system will be put into mass production at the end of this year.
