The NVIDIA DRIVE platform will adopt Hesai’s Pandar128 LiDAR as the Ground Truth sensor for its autonomous driving developing system.
Hesai’s high-performance LiDAR solution will act as a key component in the NVIDIA DRIVE platform, supporting critical object perception and recognition functions on autonomous vehicles.
In the meantime, Hesai’s LiDARs will also help the company set a crucial reference basis for each perceptual part within the system, realizing and optimizing autonomous driving recognition functions. To illustrate, the LiDARs will be used to label and train corresponding data and construct an accurate 3D environment based on surroundings.
Hesai’s latest Pandar128 sensor offers a 360-degree horizontal field of view with a detection range from 0.3 to 200 meters. In the vertical field of view, it uses denser beams to allow for high resolution in a focused region of interest. The low minimum range reduces the blind spot area close to and in front of the lidar sensor.
In fact, Hesai Technology has been an official member of NVIDIA DRIVE’s ecosystem since 2019. Its expertise in the industry has won over various autonomous driving companies and automakers in 70 cities in 30 countries and regions.
