JAC Group, ThunderSoft to set up automotive intelligence joint venture
Beijing (Gasgoo)- On February 26th, China’s major automaker JAC Group has inked an agreement with leading OS developer, ThunderSoft, to set up an automotive intelligence joint venture in Hefei, Anhui Province.

In an effort to enhance the intellectualization and development of the auto industry, JAC Group and ThunderSoft will build a joint venture dedicated to automotive software, vehicle cloud platform, and autonomous driving.
At the moment, cars are not simply transportation devices anymore. They have become a third living space in people’s lives. Software makes intelligent and pleasant onboard experience possible. The two companies shared the same belief that software defines vehicles.
By virtue of the partners’ resources and experience in their respective fields, the new joint venture will be well-positioned in the automotive intelligence field. Per the agreement, the joint venture is set up to conduct R&D in intelligent cockpit, SOA, scenario engines, domain controller software platform, cloud management platforms, providing professional and advanced technical support and services for automakers.
Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Beijing, ThunderSoft is one of the biggest software developers in China. The company provides products and solutions in mobile, IoT, automotive, and enterprise aspects.
ThunderSoft has established joint ventures with Qualcomm, Arm, and Intel. Meanwhile, the company operates joint laboratories with Qualcomm, Intel, Microsoft, Arm, Samsung, and Sony, among many others.
