Pony.ai's logistics joint venture CYANTRON to start operation on April 1st
Beijing (Gasgoo)- On March 30th, China’s autonomous driving startup Pony.ai announced that its joint venture with Sinotrans Limited, namely CYANTRON, is officially registered and will start operation on April 1st.

CYANTRON is headquartered in Guangzhou, while its business services the whole country. The joint venture has already set up its first operation-use subsidiary in Qingdao, a coastal city in Shandong Province. Currently, Pony.ai and Sinotrans have deployed over 100 commercial vehicles and started container transport services.
Building on Pony.ai’s accumulated experience from its autonomous driving and intelligent logistics practice, CYANTRON was able to put L4 autonomous commercial vehicles to work and started the real application of the said practices.
The establishment of CYANTRON marked a milestone in Pony.ai’s autonomous driving technology commercialization progress. With its actual business operation and the large-scale autonomous technology application, the joint venture will feed Pony.ai back in both monetary and technological senses.
The joint business will benefit from the efficiency and the low cost of autonomous driving advantages, while the data generated from real-life operations accelerates Pony.ai’s product iteration.
The company believed that doing so, it is eventually helping the transformation of China's logistics industry.
