The C-V2X platform is called Kailu (meaning open road in English). Kailu is a full-stack open system of software and services, including a roadside software platform, roadside reference hardware, and a cloud service platform. With basic functions like perception, prediction, and maps, Kailu provides technical and integral specifications for equipment and hardware enterprises.

Moreover, Kailu is able to further its data-sharing ability by building on the DAIR-V2X open-source data set. Combining with Baidu’s broad user contact in the automobile terminal, Kailu can also share its scenario resources.
Kailu holds the comprehensive technological achievements that Baidu accumulated in the C-V2X field since 2016. It offers full-stack architecture to developers within the industry, and help them reduce R&D cost, and improve efficiency.
In the meantime, hardware and equipment companies can adopt Kailu’s standardized channels, realizing de-fragmentized construction and lowering the cost of roadside construction.
Baidu Apollo believes that by opening up the platform, it will help accelerate the intelligent and connected development in China.
