Pony.ai, Neolix team up on large-scale unmanned delivery application

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On March 22, Pony.ai announced its strategic partnership with autonomous delivery vehicle maker, Neolix, to help expand the commercial deployment of its unmanned delivery service.

Specifically, Pony.ai will collaborate with Neolix to develop a custom domain controller for Level 4 autonomous vehicles, which will be powered by NVIDIA DRIVE. The domain controller will be integrated into Neolix's fourth-generation X3 Plus autonomous delivery vehicle. Initial deliveries of the vehicles have already been completed, with several thousand units more expected to be delivered by April.

Operating in areas such as non-motorized vehicle lanes, autonomous delivery vehicles face more complex road scenarios due to mixed traffic. Pony.ai's domain controller product, tailored for Neolix, is based on a single NVIDIA DRIVE Orin system-level chip and employs a wind-cooling technique. With computing power of up to 254TOPS, it is more than twice as powerful as previous products, enabling better performance in complex scenarios.

Neolix operates one of the largest autonomous delivery fleets in the world, with vehicles deployed in various fields such as logistics, retail, city services, and autonomous vehicle education, under more than 100 scenarios, across 40 cities and 13 countries, with over 6.2 million safe driving distance logged and more than 2 million deliveries completed for over 300,000 users.

Pony.ai's "Fangzai" series of products can be customized to meet customers' needs, enabling large-scale deployment of autonomous passenger and commercial vehicles. The "Fangzai" domain controller was launched in mid-2022 and has already garnered a group of designated users.
