User invitations are now active, allowing selected users to experience the service firsthand. The sight of Baidu's Apollo Go autonomous vehicles busy shuttling passengers at Wuhan Tianhe International Airport marks a significant milestone, as it becomes the first in China to offer autonomous travel connections between urban areas and airports. Additionally, it's the first instance of a self-driving service in China spanning both city roads and highways, solidifying Baidu's position as the pioneer in launching autonomous airport shuttle services.

Recently, Wuhan's seventh batch of 651.35 kilometers of intelligent connected vehicle test roads has been officially unveiled following approval from the Wuhan Intelligent Connected Vehicle Road Testing and Demonstration Application Management Joint Working Group. Baidu's Apollo Go continues to expand its reach, with plans to connect operations in the Jiangbei core areas, including the Economic Development Zone, Hanyang District, Dongxihu District, and Qiaokou District.

Wuhan has opened up 1,462.9 kilometers of intelligent connected vehicle test roads, covering an area of about 1,100 square kilometers and serving over four million people. This has resulted in 1,022 test licenses issued to 19 autonomous driving companies, a total of 675 intelligent connected vehicles, 7.8 million kilometers of cumulative test distance, and over 530,000 hours of test time. Furthermore, there are over 340 intelligent connected vehicles that conduct routine testing and operations, with more than 330,000 travel service orders and 420,000 passengers served, placing Wuhan at the forefront of intelligent connected vehicle testing and deployment in China.
