Dongfeng Sharing advances intelligent connected vehicle deployment in Suzhou city

Beijing (Gasgoo)- During the 29th ITS World Congress held from October 16 to 20 in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province witnessed Dongfeng Motor’s autonomous driving tech arm, Dongfeng Sharing, actively participate in the event to advance intelligent connected vehicle (ICV) development in Suzhou.

The company showcased several cutting-edge ICV products, unveiling China's prowess in intelligent transportation to the world.

During the congress, Suzhou Intelligent Connected Technology Development Co., Ltd., together with seven technology companies, including Dongfeng Sharing, established the Suzhou Industrial Park Intelligent Connected Joint Innovation Center. Dongfeng Sharing, representing the automotive sector, will spearhead the vehicle integration process for various ICV scenarios in Suzhou's industrial park, contributing to the city's smart mobility growth.

The joint innovation center will foster cooperation among automakers, software developers, and algorithm companies to drive technological, business, and commercial innovation. This initiative aims to implement new technologies, cultivate fresh business models, create innovative scenarios, and facilitate the scalable and commercial development of the ICV industry in Suzhou's industrial park.

During the ITS World Congress, Dongfeng Sharing also managed operations for Robotaxis, unmanned minibuses, and self-driving vending vehicles. The unmanned Robotaxis are based on Dongfeng's premium VOYAH Free pure-electric SUV and possess L4 autonomous driving capabilities. Equipped with a multisensory perception system, including LiDAR, high-definition cameras, and millimeter-wave radar, the vehicle demonstrates robust environmental perception and swift responses.

Covering a 38-kilometer route with six physical stations and multiple virtual stations, the Robotaxis served over 500 passengers during the event, accumulating more than 1,000 kilometers of operational distance.
