Plus delivers first-batch smart heavy-duty trucks to ZTO Freight

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On October 31, 2023, ZTO Freight, the Chinese package delivery service company, received the first batch of ten intelligent heavy-duty trucks, the K7+, equipped with Plus’ autonomous driving technology.

These trucks, jointly developed by JAC Motor and Chinese autonomous driving heavy-duty truck solution provider Plus, will be deployed for express delivery operations, covering key economic regions such as the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta, and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area.

The K7+, being a collaborative effort between Plus and JAC Motor, is specifically designed for the express delivery market. It features the golden powertrain combination with parts from Cummins and ZF, offering exceptional power, low fuel consumption, enhanced safety, and comfortable handling, making it an ideal choice for logistics operations.

These vehicles are equipped with the upgraded Plus autonomous driving system, known as PlusDrive 2.0. In addition to fundamental functionalities like lane-keeping, adaptive cruise control, automatic lane-changing, and precise maneuvering, it introduces advanced capabilities including autonomous overtaking, automated parking, predictive merging, and construction zone navigation. Notably, it features the industry's first toll-to-toll autonomous navigation system.

Looking ahead, ZTO Freight, JAC Motor, and Plus will leverage a collaborative approach involving logistics companies, automakers, and autonomous driving technology firms to further strengthen their partnership. This strategic alliance aims to accelerate the commercial implementation of autonomous driving technology in the express delivery sector, collectively paving the way for intelligent logistics and transport capabilities.
