NVIDIA to expand autonomous driving team in China

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Recently, according to official announcements from NVIDIA, the company is expanding its autonomous driving team in China.

Job listings span across five departments—Autonomous Driving Software, Autonomous Driving Platform, System Integration & Testing, Map & Simulation, and Product, totaling 25 positions in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.

This recruitment drive marks the first appearance of Wu Xinzhou as the head of NVIDIA's autonomous driving team in China.

Previously serving as vice president and head of autonomous driving at Chinese electric vehicle company, XPeng, Wu Xinzhou revamped XPeng's autonomous driving architecture, establishing a new intelligent driving team, and notably, contributed to the successful launch of XPeng's Highway NGP and Urban NGP functions. 

In August this year, Wu Xinzhou joined NVIDIA after departing from XPeng. Publicly acknowledged as NVIDIA's Vice President of Auto/GM, he reports directly to Jensen Huang.

NVIDIA's significant recruitment of autonomous driving talents in China underscores its commitment to bolstering autonomous driving efforts in the Chinese market.

In the recruitment announcement, Wu Xinzhou emphasized China's fertile ground for high-level autonomous driving technology implementation and its cultivation of world-class talent in autonomous driving production. He expressed aspirations for the Chinese autonomous driving team to become a pivotal force in refining NVIDIA's autonomous driving products, leveraging local talent and expertise to craft globally impactful autonomous driving solutions.
