3rd-Gen Hongqi L4 Robotaxi passes unmanned driving license test in Beijing

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Recently, the AI development arm of FAW Group, FAW (Nanjing) Technology Development Co., Ltd., saw its Hongqi-based L4 Robotaxi passed the L4 Robotaxi unmanned test license examination in the Beijing High-level Automated Driving Demonstration Area (BJHAD), the automaker announced on December 27.

The Hongqi-based L4 Robotaxi showcased exceptional performance, achieving a remarkable 100% success rate across all 65 projects. This achievement made FAW Group the sole domestic automaker to acquire both the T3-level automated driving examination in Beijing and the BJHAD's unmanned test certification.

Following the guidelines of the "Beijing High-level Automated Driving Demonstration Area Intelligent Connected Vehicle Unmanned Testing Technology," the third-generation Hongqi L4 Robotaxi completed over 50,000 kilometers of real-road autonomous driving testing in Beijing. It surpassed an 85% autonomous driving ratio, excelling in comprehensive evaluations across 65 different project scenarios, meeting the BJHAD's requirements.

The development team introduced an innovative "vision + solid-state radar" autonomous driving solution. The Hongqi L4 Robotaxi undergoes annual iteration, advancing from the E-HS3 model to the E-HS9 model. Upgrades include redundant backup systems, remote vehicle control system, and vehicle-road-cloud collaborative features, showcasing a comprehensive software and hardware system upgrade.

This certification underlines the Hongqi L4 Robotaxi’s technology prowess, highlighting FAW Group’s exceptional innovation. Hongqi remains committed to paving the way for the mass production of intelligent driving solution, constantly iterating algorithms, steadfastly conducting independent R&D.
