Summary: Chinese automobile exports in 2011

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai) - According to statistics recently compiled by Gasgoo.com (Chinese), the concentration of Chinese vehicles in the country's top ten export markets has been fluctuating around the 50 percent mark for the last two years. As seen in the below graph, the average monthly concentration has grown from sub-50 percent in 2010 to over 50 percent last year.

According to reports, the largest markets for Chinese automobile exports in 2010 included Algeria, Iran, Vietnam, Chile, Syria and Peru. The following year, Russia, Chile, Brazil, Myanmar and Kazakhstan were added to that list. In particular, exports destined for Russia and Brazil grew incredibly from 2010 to 2011.

All recorded monthly year-on-year growth rates for Russian-bound exports exceeded 100 percent. The value of exports in both September and October of last year broke the $100 million barrier, totaling $112 million and $102 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, Brazil was among the top ten markets for Chinese vehicles from January to November of last year. Brazil led the charts for February, April, June and July, with automobile exports in June totaling $105 million.
