Summary: Top performing companies in China’s passenger automotive market in June

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai) - According to statistics from Gasgoo.com (Chinese), Shanghai GM was the top seller of passenger automobiles in China for the month of June. It was followed by Shanghai VW, FAW-VW, Dongfeng Nissan, Changan Ford, Changan Automobile, SAIC-GM-Wuling, Beijing Hyundai, FAW Toyota and Guangqi Honda.

Shanghai GM sold a total of 137,623 vehicles during the month of June. This marks the first time in six months that Shanghai VW has not led the monthly sales charts.

Changan Automobile was the only fully domestic own brand automobile manufacturer to make the list. Changan sold a total of 67,700 vehicles in the month, placing sixth in the charts.

Four of the ten manufacturers on the list suffered negative year-on-year sales growth in June. Among them, FAW-VW and Beijing Hyundai’s monthly sales were down about 30%. The remaining manufacturers achieved positive sales growth, with Changan and Guangqi Honda’s growth rates above 20%.
