The investors of the first 10 hydrogen filling stations, which are put into operation since Jan. 1, 2021, will be granted the subsidies equivalent to 30% of the actual investment value, while the amount will be no higher than 3 million yuan ($470,100) per station, according to a document issued by Chongqing government last week.

The governmental grants will also be given for the operation of the hydrogen filling stations that start business after Jan. 1, 2021. For the year of 2021, the subsidies will be allocated at 30 yuan ($4.7) per kilogram based on the full-year weight of the hydrogen consumed, with a maximum amount of 3 million yuan per station. The subsidy standard will be adjusted on the ground of the city's actual situation.

Moreover, the local government will issue the specific policies for promoting the application of FCVs, with logistics trucks, buses, governmental sanitation vehicles, and postal delivery vehicles as the focuses. The mid-sized or smaller-sized fuel cell-powered trucks registered in Chongqing will be included in the scope of the vehicles for pilot urban delivery projects and will be provided convenience for travel.
