BYD unveils "Black Myth: Wukong" themed Seal 06GT at Auto Guangzhou 2024

Guangzhou (Gasgoo)- On November 15, BYD's Seal 06GT model featuring a collaboration with the popular video game Black Myth: Wukong made its debut at the BYD booth during the Auto Guangzhou 2024.

The eye-catching vehicle, designed with elements inspired by the game, features a striking custom paint job adorned with iconic imagery, drawing in large crowds of young enthusiasts eager for a closer look.

The design of the Seal 06GT x Black Myth: Wukong pays homage to the armor of the game's protagonist, the Monkey King Sun Wukong, known as the "Jinlin Battle Robe." The vehicle's primary color is inspired by the green hue of the armor, accented with white detailing for a sleek and dynamic look. The side of the car showcases an illustration of the Monkey King, symbolizing a guardian spirit for seamless journeys. Additional details like mountain-pattern motifs further enhance the vehicle's distinct and agile appearance.

Since its establishment in November 2021, BYD's Ocean Series has achieved remarkable growth, surpassing 3.5 million units of cumulative sales in just three years. The Ocean Series plays a crucial role in BYD's strategy to rejuvenate its brand, aiming to connect with young consumers through pop culture and diverse values, continuously breaking down barriers in communication. 

This collaboration between the Ocean Series's Seal 06GT and the video game Black Myth: Wukong highlights a bold cross-industry partnership, demonstrating the series' ability to engage with the deeper emotional needs of younger audiences. Built on BYD's e-Platform 3.0 Evo, the Seal 06GT features an ocean-inspired aesthetic, with a youthful and energetic design inside and out. It boasts a spacious 2,820 mm wheelbase, offering ample room for users. On the safety front, the Seal 06GT incorporates BYD's pioneering CTB (Cell-to-Body) safety architecture, ensuring comprehensive protection across powertrain, chassis, and body structure. Additionally, the model is equipped with BYD's innovative smart fast-charging technologies, including intelligent current amplification and end-terminal rapid charging, enhancing its charging efficiency.
