Leapmotor boasts 148% YoY soar in May 2025 vehicle deliveries
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In May 2025, Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker Leapmotor delivered 45,067 vehicles, marking a year-on-year surge of over 148%, according to a post on the company's WeChat account.
On May 15, the automaker officially put the 2026 Leapmotor C10 onto the market, offering five trim levels including both BEV (battery electric vehicle) and REEV (range-extended electric vehicle) versions. The model is priced between 122,800 yuan and 142,800 yuan.

The updated C10 features several refinements based on the current model and introduces a new exterior color, Misty Purple. The redesigned headlights are more expansive and are complemented by a central LED light strip that visually widens the front fascia. A large air intake and bold side air ducts at the lower front end further enhance the vehicle's sporty character.
From the side, the new C10 adopts a clean yet robust design, featuring large gunmetal grey multi-spoke wheels and flush-fitting electric door handles. The vehicle's dimensions remain unchanged from the 2024 model, measuring 4,739 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,825 mm.
On the technology front, the 2026 Leapmotor C10's infotainment system is upgraded to carry the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, enabling a real-time 3D desktop interface and dual-screen SR (Surround Reality) environmental simulation. The driver-assistance system is powered by the Snapdragon 8650 chip and supports both LiDAR and end-to-end driver assistance features.
In terms of performance, the BEV version now includes a 74.9 kWh battery pack, boosting the CLTC-rated range to 605 kilometers. On the 800V high-voltage fast-charging platform, charging from 30% to 80% state-of-charge (SOC) takes just 16 minutes. For the REEV version, the same charging interval is reduced to 18 minutes. In addition, the BEV model has an energy consumption rate of 14.1 kWh per 100 kilometers. Its electric motor has been upgraded from 170 kW to 220 kW, cutting 0–100 km/h acceleration time to 5.9 seconds. The REEV variant retains a 170 kW motor and 210 km of CLTC-rated range on battery power alone.
On May 19, Leapmotor released its first-quarter (Q1) financial results, reporting record highs across key metrics including revenue and gross margin.
According to the report, Leapmotor posted revenue of 10.02 billion yuan in Q1 2025, a 187.1% soar year-on-year. Gross margin rose sharply to 14.9%, while vehicle deliveries reached 87,552 units—up 162.1% from the same period last year. Although the company posted a net loss attributable to shareholders of 130 million yuan, the figure narrowed significantly from a year earlier. Notably, operating cash flow turned positive, highlighting strong growth momentum and improving profitability prospects.
