Inside, the SUV features a "theater-style" layout, with class-leading rear legroom, adjustable seatbacks, and 31 newly added storage compartments designed to meet the practical needs of family users.
Comfort enhancements include optimized seating with heating and ventilation in the front row and denser cushioning in the rear for better long-distance support. The vehicle offers a standard 502-liter trunk, which expands to 1,658 liters with the rear seats folded down, improving cargo versatility.
Powertrain options include both a front-wheel-drive version with a CLTC-rated range of 600 km and an all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant, both built on the Ultium 2.0 platform. The AWD version features an intelligent dual-motor setup balancing performance and efficiency.

On the technology front, the new Buick E5 debuts Buick's next-gen VCS intelligent cockpit system powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. The system supports seamless voice interaction and multi-screen display. The driver assistance suite now includes features like automated lane change assist, traffic jam assist, full-speed adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree surround view system.
A standout innovation is the new Buick E5's new cabin climate management system, integrating smart ventilation, seat temperature control, and air quality monitoring. This system can be remotely configured via a mobile app, offering personalized comfort even before entering the vehicle.
Buick has adopted a straightforward "no-bargain” strategy for the new E5, with clear tiering among trims. Even the base model features a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, and Level 2 driver assistance features. Analysts say the new E5’s generous interior space and robust safety configuration may help it stand out in the competitive 150,000 yuan–200,000 yuan segment, which includes both domestic and joint venture rivals.
