The sales of high-class sedans (200-250 thousands yuan) rose by 23.9% year on year to a record 410,905 units in 2005. 8 models were completed in this classification. They are Toyota Accord, Passat B5, Buick/Regal, Nissan Teana, Mazda 6, Mondeo, Reiz and NF.

1. The market share of high-class sedans was still reducing in 2005. Declining from 16.4% in 2003 to 15.4% in 2004 and 14.8% in 2005.

2. The top 6 in terms of high market shares are Accord, Passat, Regal, Teana, Mazda 6 and Mondeo, which grabbed more than 90% of the market share.

3. Competition intensified as the Reiz, NF and other brand new high-class models were introduced into the market, and it is becoming more crowed and experiencing fiercer competition. In the following days, the shockwaves of high-class sedan markets will draw most attention from OEMs.
