Bosch cooperates with WeRide for L2-L3 autonomous driving development
Beijing (Gasgoo)- On May 25th, China’s leading L4 autonomous driving developer WeRide announced that it has received a strategic investment from Bosch and both parties established strategic cooperation to jointly develop autonomous driving software.

The partnership will help accelerate Bosch China’s advanced driving solution development, moving SAE L2-L3 autonomous driving solutions towards mass production.
Based on the SAE L2-L4-capable WeRide ONE universal software and Bosch China’s advanced driving solution, the duo will work on data-driven intelligent driving software, providing automakers with faster and better service in China. The two companies plan to implement their SAE L2-L3 advanced intelligent driving experiences accumulated from various scenarios, including urban, highway, and elevated roads, to better serve the Chinese auto market.
As one of the top-notch autonomous driving developers in China, WeRide has achieved substantial results in the technological and commercialization senses. The company currently operates a L4 autonomous vehicle fleet consisting of Robotaxis, Mini Robobuses, Robovans, and Robo Street Sweepers.
The four types of autonomous vehicles are operated day and night under various road and weather conditions. According to WeRide, it has accumulated over 11 million kilometers of autonomous driving open road tests by now.
With its tremendous experience and achievements, WeRide will dabble with L2 autonomous technologies through the cooperation with Bosch.
