Great Wall Motor begins blind pre-order of ORA Good Cat in Brazil

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Recently, Great Wall Motor officially launched the ORA Good Cat in Brazil, the second new energy vehicle (NEV) model it put onto the Brazilian market, according to a press release GWM issued this week.

During the launch event, Oswaldo Ramos, the Chief Business Officer of GWM Brazil, announced the commencement of blind pre-order for the ORA Good Cat on Brazil's largest e-commerce platform. Customers can place an order by paying a deposit of 9,000 Brazilian Reais (approximately 13,500 RMB), and the exact selling price will be officially revealed in August. The initial batch of vehicles is scheduled to be delivered to customers in October.

In April this year, GWM started delivering the first batch of the Haval H6 NEVs to customers in Brazil, and in May, it secured the top position by new energy vehicle sales of the country, capturing a market share of 14.39%, according to data the company offered in the press release. This figure further increased to 14.81% in June.

The introduction of the ORA Good Cat in Brazil will further solidify GWM's position, as a representative of Chinese brands, in the Brazilian market and help accelerate the country’s transition towards electrification, said GWM.

GWM is actively driving the accelerated international expansion of its new energy products, contributing to the profound development of overseas markets. The company's overseas sales for the first half of this year reached an impressive volume of 123,930 units, soaring 97.27% year on year.

The rapid introduction of intelligent new energy vehicles into overseas markets has been witnessed in the first half of this year as well. Models such as the Haval H6 HEV, the ORA Good Cat, the TANK 300, and the TANK 500 have successfully entered markets in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, the Philippines, Chile, Australia, Madagascar, and more.
