BYD, Fosun forge partnership to build“Mobility + Vacation”ecosystem

On December 18, BYD and Fosun signed a global long-term strategic cooperation memorandum in Taicang, Jiangsu province. Leveraging their respective strengths in green mobility, intelligent manufacturing, tourism and family consumption ecosystems, the two groups will collaborate across BYD's full brand portfolio to jointly build an integrated "Mobility + Vacation"  ecosystem.

The partnership aims to connect BYD's global base of over 15 million vehicle owners with Fosun Tourism Group's more than 20 million members worldwide, utilizing over 70 premium resort destinations across 40+ countries. Fosun Tourism destinations will introduce flagship models from BYD brands including Dynasty, Ocean, Fangchengbao, Denza and Yangwang, while co-developing customized premium travel routes to enhance localized exploration experiences.

NIO Power, Zhong'an Energy put first 50 co-built charging and battery swap stations into operation

On December 18, NIO Power and Zhong'an Energy announced that the first batch of 50 co-developed charging and battery swap stations has officially gone into operation across Anhui Province. This marks a major milestone in their strategic partnership and in NIO Power's open, collaborative energy ecosystem.

Since launching the "Power Partner" program in August 2024, NIO Power has partnered with infrastructure operators in 25 provinces and regions in China to jointly build nearly 200 stations. Over the past 11 years, NIO has invested approximately 18 billion yuan in charging and battery swap infrastructure, establishing 8,466 stations nationwide—3,627 battery swap stations and 4,839 charging stations—with a highway battery swap network covering 550 cities across China.

CiDi Inc. lists on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange

On December 19, Chinese autonomous driving tech startup Cidi Inc., founded by renowned entrepreneur Professor Li Zexiang, officially listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, becoming the first listed commercial-vehicle autonomous driving company in Hong Kong.

The company offered 5.41 million shares at HKD 263 per share, raising a total of HKD 1.422 billion. Established in 2017, Cidi focuses on autonomous driving solutions for commercial vehicles in closed scenarios such as mining sites and ports, carving out a differentiated niche in a highly competitive market.

As of June 30, 2025, Cidi had secured indicative orders totaling 647 autonomous mining trucks and independent systems, demonstrating strong demand. However, alongside rapid revenue and order growth, the company continues to face widening losses and cash flow pressures, highlighting the challenges of large-scale commercialization.
