On January 1, FAW-Volkswagen released its full-year sales figures, according to Gasgoo.
Data show that in 2025, FAW-Volkswagen sold 1,587,065 vehicles in total (including imports). That comprised 902,066 units for the Volkswagen brand, 566,988 for Audi (including imports), and 118,011 for Jetta — once again securing No. 1 among joint-venture carmakers by sales and No. 1 in internal-combustion models, a "double champion."

As the market splinters, FAW-Volkswagen's ICE market share rose 0.9 percentage points year on year to a record high. All three brands widened their ICE shares; notably, Audi returned to No. 1 in the luxury-car market after a six-year gap.
Volkswagen's ICE share increased by 0.6 percentage points year on year, keeping it in the leading pack of China's ICE market. The Sagitar, Magotan and Tayron families stood out. The Sagitar family, with 252,000 units, holds a top position in the A+ sedan segment, while the Tayron lineup reached 187,000 units to lead mid-size ICE SUVs.
Audi is building a "full-spectrum luxury" product matrix; its ICE share jumped, putting the brand back at No. 1 in the luxury-car market after six years. The FAW Audi A6L sold 172,000 units, remaining the top seller among luxury C-class sedans; the FAW Audi Q5L reached 140,000 units, ranking first in the luxury B-class ICE SUV segment.
Jetta continues to target the value-focused mass market, with its ICE share rising despite headwinds. In 2025, Jetta's sales posted positive year-on-year growth, outperforming the broader market. The Jetta VA7 and Jetta VS8 launched and posted solid results in their respective niches.
