WEY P8 GT ready to make debut at Auto Guangzhou 2018

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Great Wall Motor's premium SUV brand WEY is about to unveil the WEY P8 GT at the upcoming 2018 Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, according to local media.

According to the spy shots exposed before, the WEY P8 GT retains the overall design of the P8 in the exterior. At the front face, the large-sized polygonal intake grille filled with a net-like structure resembles a hauberk dressed on a medieval knight and is likely to create rich and interesting lighting effects in the sunlight. The headlights outlined by sculptural lines and the protruding lines on the hood make the vehicle looks more masculine.

Looking from the rear end, the P8 GT has two dual exhaust pipes in total with one pipe on each side. The eagle eye-shaped taillights, along with the clean-cut rear bumper, properly fit the vehicle's SUV position. We can see the badge of “P8 GT” and “魏派(Chinese character of ‘WEY’)” on the left and right side of the trunk lid.

The WEY P8 GT, measuring 4,790 in length, 1,940mm in width and 1,672mm in height, is larger than that of the existing P8. However, both models feature the same size of 2,950mm in wheelbase.

The P8 GT is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged engine code-named GW4C20A that pumps out 224hp (165kW) and the lithium ion battery pack developed by CATL.
