Lifan vehicles enter Kenyan market

Shanghai, August 25 (Gasgoo.com) Chongqing Lifan Industry (Group) has begun to sell its Lifan 520 cars in the Kenyan market, according to a report posted on local African media allAfrica.com days ago.

The model is being launched by Auto Mart Ltd, a member of the Associated Motors Group (AM) in Kenyan. The company is also general sales agency for Isuzu and Chevrolet.

The report said the Lifan 520 is sold at Sh995,000 ($14,517) and boasts of 18-20 km per litre to the fuel. Other features include front airbags, ABS braking and power steering.

Kenya joins the league of 50 countries to which the Lifan has exported vehicles. The Chinese automaker has already sold cars in France, Germany, Algeria, Nigeria, Spain, Brazil, Colombia, Russia, Ukraine, Vietnam, Iran, among others.
