Shanghai, September 3 (Gasgoo.com) Chinese carmaker Southeast Motor said its self-developed compact car V3 Lingyue, which is set to go on sale in October, now can receive advance booking from this September 19, Beijing Youth reported today, citing sources.

Only 3,000 units of the V3 Lingyue will be available every month within the year. Southeast Motor’s president Lin Yuzhang said the small supply was caused by a limited engine supply but also reflected the company’s efforts to assure the quality of new products from the beginning.

V3 Lingyue is expected to sell below 70,000 yuan ($10,204) and the flagship model will be priced at around 100,000 yuan, a top executive of Southeast Motor disclosed. Thus, the new model will include its rivals ranging from domestic brands like Chery A5, BYD F3 and Brilliance Junjie to the joint-venture brands such as Lova, Elantra and Cerato.

A relatively weaker brand of Southeast vehicles may affect V3 Lingyue sales in competition, so V3 Lingyue must make efforts to win the market by its better-performance engine, rich configurations as well as a reasonable price.
