Industry-wide sales in the first seven months of this year were valued at 150 billion ($21.9 bn), up 35 percent year on year; the profit margin from the auto industry was 7.5 billion yuan, up 20.5 percent.

A total of 558,000 complete vehicles made in Shandong were sold in the seven-month period, up 28 percent from a year earlier.
