Shanghai, September 11 (Gasgoo.com) Splash, Suzuki’s fourth-generation global strategic model, will be produced in Changhe Suzuki Automobile, Suzuki Motor’s Chinese joint venture located in Jiangxi province, reported West China City Daily today.

With its production line to be completed for operation next year, the Splash model will start production by 2010 with an annual capacity of at least 60,000 units.

Suzuki Splash is positioned alongside Swift in the small car lineup of Suzuki. They are of about the same price and the same size, but Splash tends to be more dynamic than Swift. The new model also has high seating positions and good visibility.

The new model will be mated with a new TCSS system which can avoid slide-caused loss of control. As an economic car, Splash has fuel consumption less than 5L every hundred kilometers, with its emission meeting the Euro Ⅳ standard.

It is reported that Chinese-made vehicles in Changhe Suzuki are mainly equipped with the Suzuki K-series engine. Introduction of new engines by Suzuki may bring better products and technology into Changhe as well as offer Changhe Suzuki more choices for making Suzuki models.
