Changan Auto sales hit 14,121 units in October
Chongqing Changan Automobile Co Ltd (SZA 000625; SZB 200625) said it sold 14,121 vehicles in October, after registering production of 14,438 units.
In a statement filed with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, the company said it produced 176,571 vehicles and sold 175,515 in the first 10 months of 2008.
Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co Ltd, its joint venture with Ford Motor Co, produced 15,269 vehicles in October, with sales of 15,178 units. It produced 178,886 vehicles in the first 10 months with sales of 175,218 units.
Chongqing Changan Suzuki, its 51 pct-owned joint venture with Suzuki Motor, sold 6,533 vehicles last month on production of 7,207 units. It produced 109,106 vehicles in the first 10 months with sales of 106,966 units.
Chongqing Changan Automobile, the listed arm of China's fourth-largest automaker Changan Automotive Group, did not provide comparative figures.
