Mercedes-Benz China sales up 52% in Jan-Nov

Shanghai, December 24 (Gasgoo.com) Mercedes-Benz China Ltd announced recently that sales of Mercedes-Benz brand cars in China's mainland soared 52 percent in the first 11 months of this year to 35,200 units, reaching this year's sales target one month in advance, China Daily reported.

Sales of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class rose 44 percent year on year to 13,000 units, and sales of the SUV line-up surged more than 100 percent.

Also by the end of November, the German auto giant has delivered 3,000 units of its roadsters to the Chinese mainland market.

In the first eleven months of 2008 China sold more than 6.16 million units of passenger cars, up 8.87 percent from a year earlier.
