Zotye to roll out pure electric SUV soon

Shanghai, December 29 (Gasgoo.com) Zotye Holding Group, one of the leading small car and medium sized SUV manufacturers in China, plans to launch a pure electric SUV model soon, Jinghua newspaper reported Monday.

The electric SUV will be equipped with the lithium iron phosphate battery provide by Wanxiang Electrical Vehicle Co, another Chinese EV maker focusing on clean-energy technology development. The engine gives the model a maximum power output of 11kW and maximum torque of 150 Nm.

The electric model will based on Zotye 2008 SUV and will have a top speed of 100 km/h. The launch date for the vehicle is still not available, according to the report.

Zotye is also producing Fiat Multipla and Lancia Lybra under its own brand. Their production line and technology have been bought by Zotye.
