Global auto sourcing summit to be held in April

Shanghai, February 13 (Gasgoo.com) China's largest automotive B2B service provider Gasgoo.com will hold the "2009 Global Automotive Sourcing Summit Forum" in Shanghai on April 21 when the 13th Shanghai International Auto Show kicks off. Nine global auto giants and 15 of the world's top 20 auto-parts suppliers have already signed up for this auto sourcing event.

The summit forum this year will cover a wide range of hot issues about automotive sourcing in China. According to Kevin Chen, CEO of the event's organizer Gasgoo.com, the forum will focus on four major topics:

1. Development and trend of future China automotive sourcing
2. Key factors of automotive sourcing in China for global purchasers
3. Suggestions on overcoming the current challenges of China sourcing
4. How local suppliers should adapt to changes in China sourcing demands

By exploring these issues and topics, the summit forum will address the new trends of China sourcing of global purchasers and identify the latest changes in their auto sourcing in China, in order to help Chinese auto-parts suppliers (and OEMs) through the tough times. The forum will offer advices to auto-parts makers on how to adjust their strategies to meet the new demands and challenges.

Top executives from several global automakers and tier-1 auto-parts manufacturers will deliver keynote speeches and take part in the round-table dialogues at the sourcing summit forum. More automotive sourcing agents and professionals will attend the interactive sessions. Meanwhile, about 200 executives from China's auto-parts companies will come to the forum to communicate face to face with global purchasers.

Some high-ranking government officials and renowned industry experts will also attend the "2009 Global Automotive Sourcing Summit Forum." As part of the prelude to the 2009 Shanghai Auto Show (on April 22-28), the sourcing summit is seen as an ideal auto industry platform for the communication and interaction between automakers (or auto-parts purchasers) and auto-parts suppliers.
