Shanghai, February 20 (Gasgoo.com) Taiwan's Prince Motors plans to introduce car models to the island from mainland China's biggest private carmaker Chery Auto, according to Taiwan Daily.

Shengrong Auto, a subsidiary of Prince Motors, has confirmed its cooperation with Chery and will take part in the Taipei Auto Show at the end of this year with new Chery models.

The report pointed out that as Taiwan hasn't allowed the completed cars imports from the mainland under its existing laws, Shengrong Auto is approved to cooperate with Chery Auto.

Most components of Chery cars for sale in Taiwan are expected to be imported directly from the mainland initially. Shengrong will assemble Chery models through local factories in Taiwan and will sell the models under its own sales outlets.

Chery Auto, famous for its mini car QQ selling in mainland China, is expected to introduce this low-priced car model to Taiwan.
