Shanghai, March 18 (Gasgoo.com) On March 13, Great Wall Motor Company Limited (GWM) announced that it has won a big order  from the Libyan government for 3,300 Deer pickups. This is another triumph for GWM following the 4,500-unit bid from the Cuban authorities. Chengdu Evening News reported today, citing sources from GWM.

The tender for 3,300 Deer pickups valued at 200 millions yuan ($29.3 millions) was signed between GWM and the Libya Government at the end of February. According to the deal, 1,000 units of the first batch will be shipped to the Benghazi Port of Libya while the other 2,300 units are expected to deliver in June due to the rising demand from the booming domestic market.

The key model for this massive order is the Deer pickup. These vehicles will be used by the Libyan authorities, including energy, electricity, medical & health, and transportation departments, etc.

Being a leading model of GWM’s classic products, the Deer pickup is famous for its advanced quality as well as outstanding functionality thanks to year-to-year technical upgrade and product innovation.

More significantly, the Deer pickup has won GWM an incredible record of ranking the No.1 in terms of sales volume in both domestic as well as international markets for eleven consecutive years since 1998.
