Nissan H1 China vehicle sales up 19% y/y

Shanghai, July 23 (Gasgoo.com) Nissan Motor said on Wednesday its vehicle sales in China rose 19 percent to 332,181 units in the first half from a year earlier, Reuters reports.

The Japanese auto maker said in a statement that it sold 63,292 vehicles in the country in June, up 28 percent from a year earlier.

Sales of its Teana rose 208.5 percent in June to 8,951 units, and sales of its popular Tiida sedan came to 13,751 units, up 10.4 percent from a year earlier. Sales of new Sylphy and Livina were 8,323 and 9,163 vehicles respectively in June.

Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Co, its joint venture with Dongfeng Motor Corporation, sold 225,073 vehicles, up 41.3 percent, with sales in June up 42 percent to 44,753 units, the automaker said.
