China July CV sales down 6% m/m to 253,000 units

Shanghai, August 12 (Gasgoo.com) China produced 259,300 commercial vehicles in July, up 1.9% from a month earlier, but its commercial vehicle sales stepped down 6.03% from June to 253,000 units, said SinoCast yesterday.

The CV output and sales in July achieved a surge of 38.74% and 44.19% respectively from a year earlier. Total bus production and sales fell over 10% month on month, in spite of the slight growth year on year.

From January to July, China turned out 1,831,200 commercial vehicles in total, and sold 1,818,000 million units, rising 7.14% and 5.47% respectively year on year.

In the auto industry of China, the output and sales amounted to 1,109,600 and 1,085,600 million vehicles in July, thanks to the incentive policies by the Chinese government.

The auto output and sales in July dropped 3.77% and 4.95% from June but jumped 52.15% and 63.57% from a year earlier, respectively. China is surpassing the United States this year as the world's largest auto market.
