Geely Auto aims to sell 412,000 vehicles in 2010

Chinese autoamker Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd. recently fixed its 2010 sales goal at 412,000 complete vehicles, and will issue a batch of new products so as to reach the goal.

The automaker will release more than 20 new vheicles, including six brand-new models, over 10 upgraded models, new energy models,and products with different powertrains.

The future products will be sold under the three new brands, Global Eagle, Emgrand, and Shanghai Englon, and the Geely will be the parent brand, disclosed Liu Jinliang, vice president of the Hong Kong-listed automaker.

In 2010, Geely Automobile will further insist on its overall strategy without markdown or price wars, stressed the vice president.

Moreover, it will shift its focus from quantity onto quality, service, and marketing ability, and continue its multi-brand promotion so as to raise its brand image rapidly.

Notably, Geely Holding Group, parent of Geely Automobile, is busy acquiring the Volvo brand from US auto giant Ford Motor Co.
