Mazda China sales jumps 55% in March
Shanghai, April 8 (Gasgoo.com) Mazda China yesterday published its sales performance in March in the Chinese market. It sold 22,023 vehicles in March 2010, up 55% from a year earlier, which created its second best monthly sales record in China. Mazda China has sold 53,704 vehicles in Q1, up 44% from a year earlier.
According to two sales networks, FAW Mazda Motor Sales Co. sold 12,002 vehicles, up 33% from a year earlier, benefiting form improved sales performance from Mazda6 and Mazda6- Rui-Yi. Chang'an Ford Mazda sold 10,021 vehicles, up 92% from a year earlier, benefiting form continued hot sales performance from Mazda2 and Mazda3.
Takashi Yamanouchi, CEO of Mazda China said, “We reached 53,700 sales volume in Q1 which has achieved 24.4% of the annual revenue goal. We are very satisfied with this performance since it was not affected by the reductive working days out of the spring festival.”
According to the plan of Mazda China, the two sales networks (FAW Mazda Motor Sales Co. and Chang’an Ford Mazda) will increase 4S stores from 254 to more than 300 by then end of this year.
By the end of March, this number reached 264. Moreover, imported Mazda6-Rui-Yi was launched this month, expanding Mazda’s product line in China. Mazda will keep providing high quality cars which are showing the concept of Zoom-Zoom, and enjoyable experience.
