Chery A1 passes Australia audit standard
Shanghai July 16 (Gasgoo.com) The Chery A1 car model has successfully passed the Australia audit standard, which laid a solid foundation for its entering the Australian market, media reported.
It is understood that the Chery A1 has already been sold in markets in Turkey, Chile, Serbia and Taiwan.
The Chery A1 has won 1.8% market share in Chile's passenger car market.
In March, the A1 was put on sale in Serbia equipped with 1.3 L MT and in May, priced at 398,000 NTD (New Taiwan Dollar), it was launched in Taiwan market.
Earlier reports said that Chery's first model to debut on Australian soil would be the A1, in both sedan and hatchback versions, to be followed by the Tiggo3 compact SUV.
