From China Car Times| September 15 , 2010 09:59 BJT

Chery Auto has been testing its strength in the Brazilian market for over a year now and now that the testing is complete, the company has decided that building a new factory in Brazil is the way forward. Chery’s factory is set to land in Jacarei and will be a wholly owned subsidary of Chery international.

In various Brazilian cities such as Sao Paolo, Rio De Janeiro, it is easy to see that Chery has made progress within the Brazilian market. Chery’s current supply of cars is coming from their factory in neighboring Uruguay which are then exported to Brazil. Sales of Chery cars in Brazil have already exceeded 10,000 vehicles in the first part of the year and the Chery Tiggo3 has been at the forefront of the development in Brazil.

Chery is not the only company that has its eyes set on Brazil, Chery’s Anhui neighbor is also planning to launch an assault on the Brazillian market. JAC has reportedly signed a deal with the Brazilian company SHC which will see JAC sell 620,000 vehicles from November 2010 to 2020.
