Local media quoted a manager at the Chengdu plant as saying that Volvo's SUV models will be made in Chengdu in a 870,000 square meter facility that can produce 300,000 vehicles annually.

Shanghai's Jiading industrial development area will be home to Geely-Volvo's headquarters and its sedan production facility.

The Volvo S60 may be made in Daqing, while the C30 and luxury model V70 will be built in Jiading, according to media reports.
