Mazda China sales up 19% to 19,989 units in November
Dec. 6, 2010 (China Knowledge) - Mazda Motor Corp, a Japan-based automobile producer, announced that its auto sales in China grew 19% year on year to 19,989 units in November this year, signifying a new monthly record, sources reported.
In the first eleven months of this year, the automaker saw its Chinese sales soar 33% to 204,686 units, of which 129,795 autos were sold under the brand of FAW Mazda, rising 41% from the same period of last year, and 74,891 autos were sold under the brand of Changan Mazda, growing 21% year on year.
Mazda had opened 297 new dealerships as of the end of November.
By the end of last month, the company had achieved 93% of sales target for 2010, and it expected to sell more than 230,000 autos this year, said Satoshi Tachikake, general manager of Mazda's China Business Division.
