Japan: Mazda incurs 60b yen group net loss in 2010 fiscal year
JapanToday (Hiroshima) - Mazda Motor Corp said Thursday it incurred a consolidated net loss of 60.04 billion yen in fiscal 2010 ended last month due to damage from the March 11 earthquake and tsunami and other factors.
The net loss was much larger than 6.48 billion yen in group net loss logged the previous year, according to the automaker based in Hiroshima Prefecture. However, Mazda's group operating profit jumped 152% from the previous year to 23.84 billion yen on sales of 2.33 trillion yen, up 7.5%.
