Navistar to cooperate with JAC Motors
Gasgoo.com (Shanghai June 15) - Navistar, a leading American manufacturer truck and mid-range diesel engines, is making smooth progress in its cooperation with Anhui-based Jianghuai Automobile (JAC) to conduct joint research, development and sales of truck engines, the Beijing Youth Daily reported today. The two companies signed an agreement last September to engage in intercontinental cooperation touching on a variety of aspects.
In the aim of further developing cooperation, Navistar has appointed Rudi von Meister to head up the company's Chinese service division. Mr. Von Meister has previously worked at Toyota and Shanghai GM, and has helped the latter in playing his role in establishing auto part company Delphi. He has also experience working at Fiat and Iveco.
