Over 400 EV battery charging replacement stations to be active in Beijing by 2016

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai June 22) - The Beijing branch of the State Grid Corporation of China has confirmed that there will be 466 electric vehicle battery charging replacement stations in the capital within five years, the Beijing Youth Daily reported today. The company has already installed eight full charging stations in Beijing.

The State Grid Corporation (SGCC), the country's largest electric power transmission and distribution company, has already contructed 19 battery charging replacement stations in Beijing since 2010, with the majority being open only to public transit vehicles. The current number of stations is only able to supply electricity for 50 taxis, 100 public buses and 813 environmental protection vehicles.

The SGCC plans to construct 39 battery charging replacement centers this year, as well as 18 full passanger vehicle charging stations.
