Chery exports over 16500 vehicles last month, sets new record
Gasgoo.com (Shanghai July 6) - Chery Automobile set a new monthly export record in June, sending out 16,578 vehicles, mycar168.com reported today. The amount is over double how much the manufacturer exported last June.
Brazil was by far the largest market, importing 4,395 cars, more than triple the amount imported last year. Russia, the Ukraine, Iran and Egypt were also very popular target countries. Among its vehicles the Tiggo SUV's (pictured) performance was particularly deserving of attention, constituting nearly 30 percent of Chery's total exports.
Chery's exports this year have totalled 71,827 units so far, helping the manufacturer reach nearly 60 percent of its 2011 goal.
Chery's previous record for exports was set in May of 2008.
