JAC's new Rein II SUV to make market debut at Auto Guangzhou 2013
Gasgoo.com (Shanghai August 8) - Jianghuai Automobile will officially begin selling the Rein II at this year's Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, xcar.com.cn reported today. The car will showcase JAC's new combination of a turbocharged engine linked to a dual clutch transmission.
The Rein II (pictured) sports a more fashionable exterior than its predecessor. The SUV's design has clearly been influenced by Hyundai's ix35. It measures 4.43 m long, 1.84 m wide and 1.66 m tall, and has a wheelbase 2.64 m long. The SUV rests on an independent McPherson suspension. It will possess both electric power steering and an advanced brake system.
The Rein II is powered by a 2.0 L turbocharged engine, internally codenamed HFC4GA31D. The engine has a maximum output of 120 kW and can produce up to 235 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a standard six-speed manual and a state of the art dual clutch transmission.
