Shanghai GM sold 113,200 units in Q1

Yesterday, Shanghai General Motors announced its first quarter sales: total sales of 113,200 units in the domestic market, increased of 26.5% year-on-year, the JV won the market No.1 Followed its breakthrough with sales of 400,000 units in 2006.

As a pillar brand of Shanghai General Motors, Buick again sold a total of 82,000 units.

Among them, Buick Excelle totally sold 45,000 units in first quarter, an increase of 11.7%, becoming No.1 in the domestic auto market once again. Buick Lacrosse sales trend continue to rise, with total sales of more than 22,000 units. Chevrolet's new generation Epica also had an outstanding performance, sales reached 3,629 units.

In the luxury car segments of the market, Cadillac sales increase substantially in the first quarter of this year, and reached 1,797 units, an increase of 62%. SLS, which was launched less than two months, sold 1154 units.
