Iran to export Samand sedan to China

Iran will export Samand cars to China as of June 22, said ISACO Managing Director Nasser Beikzadeh-Marzbani here on Monday.

Until the production line of the car is installed in China, Iran Khodro Co. (IKCO) will export 1,000 completely built-up (CBU) Samands, he said on the sidelines of the 12th International Automobile & Manufacturing Technology Exhibition at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center.

He said that Samand plant in China will be operational next April, adding that the annual nominal capacity of the factory will be 30 thousand cars.

Totally $60 million is invested in the project.
